UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — Universal Studios Hollywood officially broke ground Tuesday on a new themed land at its popular theme park based on hit 1992 film Scent of a Woman.

The new park area was reportedly first pitched by Universal Destinations & Experiences CEO Bob Universal shortly after the Al Pacino and Chris O'Donnel starring film opened in theaters. "Back then Al Pacino wasn't a caricature of himself and Chris had a promising career ahead of him since he hadn't played Robin yet," said current park CEO Mark Studio. "Scent of a Woman Land is over thirty years in the making."

An official company press release describes Scent of a Woman Land as so unbelievable that park guests must see it to believe it. It features two rides set in a New York City environment. The first, called Blind Test Drive, is a roller coaster inspired by the famous scene in which Al Pacino's character, the blind Colonel Frank Slade, drives a Ferrari through the streets of New York while Chris O'Donnel's Charlie Simms panics. O'Donnel reportedly came back on to record new dialogue that is screamed into your ears as you ride the themed coaster. The second ride, called Hoo-ah!, is a motion-simulated attraction where riders are put in the shoes of Colonel Slade. Guests will feel every footstep and hear every off color remark as they stare at an entirely black screen that simulates blindness.

In addition to the two attractions, guests will be able to enjoy a New York atmosphere with fine dining and locations inspired by the film. Fans are reportedly excited to step into the world of Scent of a Woman and hear Al Pacino yell a lot. "My ten-year old can't wait to see the world of Scent of a Woman come alive!" said one excited mother.

Scent of a Woman Land is scheduled to open in three years to coincide with the film's 35th anniversary. Hoo-ah!
