Security camera footage from a local liquor store captured the exact moment of a deadly shootout in downtown Montgomery on Saturday night.

Video of the chaotic scene showed hundreds of people scrambling for cover as the shooting began, with many attempting to shelter in the liquor store. Others who were unable to make it inside huddled together on the pavement, unsure of the direction of the ongoing semi-automatic gunfire. Several individuals appeared to be wounded.

Additional footage from a separate security camera captured people running from the scene with the sound of gunfire in the background.

According to law enforcement, two people were killed and 14 were wounded in the shooting. At the time of the incident, the city of Montgomery was hosting and funding an HBCU celebration in the downtown area.
