Democrat U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona is being seriously kicked online for his decision to wear a jersey for a recent World Cup watch party and post photos of his getup.

Kelly shared a photo on Sunday, grinning ear to ear in the foreign nation’s jersey, saying, “Lots of people out in Tucson to watch Mexico take on England. Tucson and La Rosa sure know how to do the World Cup!”

Outkick founder Clay Travis then posed the question: “What do we think about U.S. politicians putting on jerseys from another country — in a tournament the U.S. is playing in — and rooting for the foreign country in public?

“Zero percent chance any American sports fans I know would do this.”

Quipped CNN commentator Scott Jennings: “Modern Democratic Party: wear another country’s jersey and post a photo of yourself taking a photo of yourself.”

One X user referenced the fact that Kelly is one of the Democratic senators who posted a video urging U.S. military personnel to disobey “illegal” orders from their commander in chief, as WorldNetDaily reported.

“The guy who told USA service members to disobey orders is wearing a rival country’s jersey Is anyone surprised?”

Another simply posted: “Mark Kelly is a traitor.”

Mexico lost the match to England 3-2.
