‘Never-Ending Pasta Pass’: Republicans suggest restaurant policy could make voting more secure * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

Republicans have begun suggesting that a restaurant food policy could make national elections more secure.
The integrity of American elections long has been an issue, with mail-in ballots, unsecured and incorrect voter registration lists, ballot collection schemes, extended vote periods sometimes lasting weeks, unattended ballot “drop boxes,” and much more.
President Trump and some Republicans are pushing for the SAVE America Act that would require identification for registering to vote as well as voting, but it hasn’t been adopted yet.
Now those Republicans are calling for election integrity at least as good as Olive Garden’s standards for its “Never-Ending Pasta Pass.”
That’s a special ticket that allows people to get unlimited amounts of pasta.
But only those people, the ones whose names are on the ticket. And them ONLY.
A commentator pointed out, “We’ve reached a point in society where access to fettuccine at Olive Garden is vastly more secure than deciding who is Commander-in-Chief of out country.”

Olive Garden responded to a question about whether such a ticket entitled members of a family to participate in the scheme.
No. The Never-Ending Pasta Pass is only for use by the Passholder whose name is printed on the Pass. Passes are personalized and non-transferable. Passholders must present a valid photo I.D. along with the Pass at the time of ordering.

Question.
Are you able to order pasta for family using this pasta pass or is that exclusively for the person with the card at the table.
I dont know about it you, but it’d feel really weird with just one person having unlimited pasta while everyone awkwardly waits.— Superpowamario (@Superpowamario) July 16, 2026
A report at the Washington Examiner noted, “Republicans are giving Democrats a ‘“penne’ for their thoughts on voter ID, claiming Olive Garden’s Never-Ending Pasta Pass requires tighter restrictions than U.S. elections.”
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said, “American elections should not be less secure than Olive Garden’s endless pasta.

Each pass gives customers access to 13 weeks of never-ending pasta, sauces, and protein toppings, with soup or salad and breadsticks for $100 each, plus tax.
White House deputy press secretary Abigail Jackson pointed out the situation: “I saw a tweet yesterday from Olive Garden of all places that in order to take advantage of their never-ending pasta pass, you have to show photo ID. I thought, ‘That’s weird, Olive Garden takes pasta pass security more seriously than Democrats are taking election security.'”
Fox even pointed out that the chain confirms, “Passholders must present a valid photo I.D. along with the Pass at the time of ordering.”
“PUT OLIVE GARDEN IN CHARGE OF OUR ELECTIONS!!!” one popular X account quipped.
“I hope you understand that this is extremely discriminatory towards minorities and married women,” one user said, parroting talking points that the political left has used in opposition of the SAVE Act.
