A light prison sentence for an illegal alien truck driver who killed three people in a stunning, eight-vehicle DUI crash caught on video in California is sparking outrage.

Jashanpreet Singh, 21, was sentenced Tuesday to four years and eight months behind bars by Superior Court Judge Shannon Faherty, who was appointed by Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The native of India pleaded guilty to three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in connection with the October 2025 crash.

“Infuriating,” said journalist Collin Rugg. “He made no attempt to swerve or stop the truck when he plowed into multiple cars on the 10 Freeway.”

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy previously indicated the crash could have been prevented if California did not issue Singh a commercial driver’s license.

“It would have never happened if Gavin Newsom had followed our new rules,” Duffy said. “California broke the law and now three people are dead and two are hospitalized. These people deserve justice.”

Journalist Mario Nawfal noted: “Three people are dead and the man who killed them got LESS THAN FIVE YEARS. Jashanpreet Singh shouldn’t have been in the country.

“Shouldn’t have held the commercial license the feds say California illegally upgraded. Shouldn’t have been behind 80,000 pounds of steel he drove straight into stopped traffic without touching the brakes.

“Every ‘shouldn’t’ was someone’s job to prevent. Nobody did their job. And the sentence, 4 years 8 months for three lives, tells you exactly how much accountability anyone expects. The victims’ families deserved better at every step.”

As WorldNetDaily reported last October, Singh had been caught sneaking into the United States illegally in 2022, but then released under Joe Biden’s open borders policies and practices.

WorldNetDaily reported initially on the video confirming the truck driver simply plowed into traffic in front of him with no apparent effort to slow down.
