In the latest example of how social agendas and political ideologies actually try to warp reality, Democrat lawmakers in the state of New York have decided that their state’s laws cannot reference “mother.”

That’s apparently because they’re not “mothers,” they’re “gestating parents.”

A report at LifeNews documented the step away from reality, which of course is demanded under the transgender agenda which says that men can be “mothers.”

The report said, “It’s a move critics say erases the unique identity and irreplaceable role of motherhood in the lives of children.”

The plan, Senate Bill 9316, also changes “father” to “non-gestating parent,” turn “paternity” cases into “parentage” proceedings, and replaces “putative father” with “alleged parent” throughout New York’s child custody, family court, domestic relations and education laws, the report said.

Democrats used more than 15,000 words to change their state’s procedures, the report said.

Sen. Luis Sepulveda, D-Bronx, and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, D-Westchester, pushed the plan, which now goes to Gov. Kathy Hochul.

State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar explained, “It’s woke culture run amok. It’s one-upmanship. It’s an example of how out of tune the New York legislature is. It’s an unnecessary and wasteful use of time.”

Further, he suggested people considering moving to the state ask, “Do I need this silliness?”

Other Republicans described the move as a declaration of war on New York families.

“At a time when New Yorkers are being crushed by utility bills, rising costs, and public safety concerns, Albany Democrats have decided one of their final priorities in the last days of session should be replacing mothers and fathers in state law. That is not what families are asking for. I am a mother and proud to be called ‘mother,'” explained state Sen. Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick.
