A Target store decided to close down its customer fitting rooms, turning them into “a dedicated Muslim prayer space,” according to a new report.

It is a report at Economic Collapse that revealed the Apple Valley, Minnesota, store blocked shoppers with barriers and signs warning them to stay out.

“Photos shared by a concerned customer show retractable belts cordoning off a hallway of six changing rooms, one door prominently displaying ‘RAMADAN MUBARAK’ alongside instructions that the room is for prayer only,” the report said. “Ramadan ended months ago in mid-March, yet the setup persisted into late May.”

The report pointed out it was not only an “accommodation,” being instead, “a clear prioritization of one faith’s practices over the shopping public’s convenience in a major retail chain.”

It is in Minnesota where a massive Somali immigrant community, nearly 100,000 in number, has had inordinate influence, demanding schools provide special Muslim spaces and more.

It also is in that community where federal authorities have estimated there to have been billions of dollars in social services program fraud. Already, dozens and dozens of convictions have been obtained and allegations have included that Gov. Tim Walz and his attorney general, Keith Ellision, were aware of the fraud.

The report noted the special privilege for Muslims at the one Target store reflected a pattern, as a 2023 social medica thread revealed similar prayer rooms for Muslim employees in Minnesota stores.

Explained the report, “Federal law under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations for employees’ religious practices. Yet nothing mandates converting public customer areas into exclusive worship spaces, especially long after the relevant holy period.”

GB News said Minnesota is “America’s ‘Somali capital.'”

It noted a sign in the closed-off area in the store said, “This room is being used for prayer. Please do not enter.”

The Economic Collapse said, “Customers entering a store expect functional access to fitting rooms, not barriers enforcing religious exclusivity. When profit-driven companies like Target—already navigating past controversies over social policies—choose sides so overtly, they risk alienating their core American customer base. True inclusion would mean equal respect for all faiths or none in neutral public spaces, not curated privileges for one.”

The report added, “Target’s prayer rooms are more than an inconvenience—they exemplify how elite institutions rewrite the rules of public life to favor certain minorities while marginalizing the historic American majority. Shoppers and citizens alike should take note: true equality under God rejects such favoritism.”
