Journalist Nick Shirley points out a glaring spelling error at a purported Minneapolls daycare center
A mega-viral video by journalist Nick Shirley exposing a purportedly false daycare center in Minneapolis with a misspelled name of “Quality Learing Center” instead of “Learning” has prompted Elon Musk to name “Learing Center” as 2025’s “Word of the Year.”

“Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet,” Shirley said. “We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! It’s time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable.
“We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.”

Shirley added: “It’s important that this fraud is exposed. I tried my best to just show the facts and make it transparent for everyone to see.
“I’ve been getting thousands of messages from people who want to support my work, the most important thing is to follow me here on X and on youtube!
“The fraud exposing will continue … and no I’m not suicidal, and yes the donations will be used for security. Security for this video alone cost $3,600 so it is not cheap but necessary.”
Shirley’s video is getting noticed from those on the political right, with some taking aim at Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.
U.S. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., said: “4 million dollars of hard earned tax dollars going to and an education center that can’t even spell learning correctly. Care to explain this one, Tim Walz?”
Gen. Mike Flynn, a former national security adviser to President Donald Trump in his first term, thanked the independent journalist for “extraordinary reporting with an iPhone and the great researcher you have working with you. Where are the children? Who set these ‘schools’ up? Where is the money going? When will the federal government step in and start arresting people??? Enough is enough!!!”
Kari Lake, Trump’s administrator leading the United States Agency for Global Media, said: “Nick, You have more journalistic integrity in your pinky finger than the entirety of thousands of people who work in the mainstream media. God bless you and keep going. Now it’s time for the American people to say NO MORE.
“DEPORT these criminals and ARREST the politicians who have enabled them – I don’t care if they’re Democrats or Republicans LOCK UP these corrupt politicians who have sold out our country!”
Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” on the Fox News Channel, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., was asked what the federal government could do to stop the rampant fraud.
“We need to put all kinds of pressure on state agencies to give us their records,” Johnson told guest host Cheryl Casone.
“We’re already reaching out to Nick Shirley … and other people who can provide testimony for this. But we also need documents.”

“These agency heads who funnel the federal money to the state agencies, they have to demand that the state agencies are transparent. And, unfortunately, particularly in Democrat-controlled states, they’re not.
“They’re refusing to turn over those records. I’ve got subpoena power. I will use that subpoena power to obtain these records.”
“Understand, Somalis have just been in this country a few years. They’re amateurs when it comes to fleecing the federal government. And let’s face it. The federal government is probably … the easiest payer to fleece, and states do it time and time again. So this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
