Kid Rock Honors Charlie Kirk With Religious Addition To Country Song

It’s been two months since the conservative activist Charlie Kirk was brutally assassinated during a speaking engagement in Utah. He was only 31 years-old.
Now, the country music star Kid Rock is paying tribute to Kirk in a beautiful way.
Kid Rock Honors KirkLast weekend, Kid Rock filled in for Cody Johnson at the Hondo Rodeo Fest in Arizona as the singer recovered from surgery. When he took the stage to perform, Kid Rock honored Kirk when he added a brand-new religious verse to Johnson’s chart-topping hit, “’Til You Can’t.”
“Now, a few weeks ago, I woke up alone early on a Sunday morning and had this song stuck in my head,” said Kid Rock, 54. “And in that moment, someone or something spoke to me and told me there was still a verse missing from this song and to get up and write it down. So I did.”
As Kid Rock spoke, the large screen behind him suddenly showed a photo of Kirk.
“And now I know exactly who was speaking to me that morning,” Kid Rock continued as he became emotional.
The verse that Kid Rock added to the song were all about faith and forgiveness, two things that the devoutly Christian Kirk greatly believed in.
“There’s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off / There’s a man that died for all our sins / Hanging from the cross,” Kid Rock sang.
“You can give your life to Jesus / And He’ll give you a second chance,” he added. “’Til you can’t, ’til you can’t.”
The crowd erupted into cheers after Kid Rock’s powerful performance. Check it out for yourself in the video below.
Kid Rock Calls Out Mainstream MediaKirk, who was the founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He is survived by his wife Erika and their two young children who are ages 1 and 3.
Days later, Kid Rock called out the media for fueling division in America. Indeed, he told Fox News that the mainstream media is “public enemy number one right now.”
Kid Rock went on to say that as a “very vocal Trump supporter,” that he relates to the way Kirk was vilified by the mainstream media.
“They’ve called me a racist Nazi for years now,” Kid Rock lamented. “But other people start to echo this – just people who write dumb articles who think, you know, I’m trash, and I hate my music, and they say he’s just a racist Nazi.”

Kid Rock Doubles DownLast month, Kid Rock further opened up about Kirk’s assassination during another Fox News interview.
“It’s terrible that something like this had to happen to really bring everyone back to their faith — and even someone like myself who’s always been very spiritual, but even more so in the last several weeks,” Kid Rock said on October 10.
“I find myself writing those songs, and I’ve been writing a Gospel album for the last year, working on a Gospel album, so it’s not anything new, but yes, I have a lot of faith and hope in the younger generation,” the country star concluded.
