The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has banned supporters of President Trump from attending its shows. The band's frontman, Ronnie Winter, issued the message in a video posted on Instagram

American rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has declared that supporters of President Donald Trump are not welcome at their concerts.

The band, famous for hits like Don't You Fake It, Face Down, Cat and Mouse, and False Pretense, was formed in Middleburg, Florida, in 2003. They're currently touring with upcoming shows in Illinois, Michigan, and California.

However, in a recent Instagram video, lead singer Ronnie Winter announced that Trump voters are "not allowed" at their performances - a rule he says applies "forever, not just these four years" of Trump's second presidency. In his statement, the 42-year-old frontman, who is a vocal Christian, proclaimed, "Hi, I'm Ronnie Winter. I sing for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and I actually follow what Jesus says. If you're a Christian and you're watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you."

He went on to say, "You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don't want you there. Don't come to my shows. It's awesome that you love Face Down. It's not for you. It's not your song. It is not your song."

Ronnie also mentioned his previous Stay Woke campaign from 2020, stating he "did not remove any of that stuff" from his social media despite facing criticism. "Look, man, the thing about being woke is you're awake. And once you're awake, you can never go to sleep," he added.

The artist took a firm stance on the ban, stating, "If you voted for Donald Trump, do not come to my shows or ever, not just these four years. Don't come to my shows because you're going to hear a lot of woke propaganda, and you're going to hear the actual words of Jesus."

He continued, "You're going to see a lot of acceptance from all areas of life and races, and you're just going to see a lot of harmony. That's not what you're about. Don't come. Refunds are available. Forever, don't come. Goodbye."

He's not alone in his opposition, reports the Irish Star. Green Day's lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong recently remarked at England's Download Festival, "We are slipping into fascism. Donald Trump and his administration are a fascist government. It is up to us to fight back." Other high-profile music figures who have criticized Trump include Bruce Springsteen, who branded the US president "a demagogue," while Neil Young deemed him "a disgrace to my country."

Defending Springsteen against Trump's social media retorts, Neil Young took a stand on his website, stating, "What are you worryin' about man? Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America," adding, "You worry about that instead of the dyin' kids in Gaza. That's your problem."
