Large digital billboards on a building display the message "Trump is your president" in bold text against a purple background.

The White House on Friday trolled Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce’s big day by reminding the far-left pop star that Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

It is worth recalling that Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Notably, Swift signed off her endorsement, writing “Childless Cat Lady,” a jab at JD Vance’s previous comments about childless women influencing politics. Trump famously responded with a four-word rebuke, declaring in a Truth Social post, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

“IT’S HAPPENED!!!” the White House wrote in a Friday X post, sharing an AI-generated image, mocking Swift and Kelce’s billboards outside of Madison Square Garden, which read “JUST&T MARRIED.

“TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT,” the edited billboards read.

A day earlier, the White House also appeared to troll Swift with an “America’s Era Tour” graphic, showing photographs of the President alongside former Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan, as well as historic moments throughout America’s past. “It’s been a long time coming,” the post said in an apparent nod to Swift’s “It’s Been a Long Time Coming,” the official introductory track of her The Eras Tour in 2024.

The White House later shared a video montage on Friday, writing, “NEXT ON AMERICA’S ERAS TOUR.”

In fawning coverage of the nuptials, NBC described it as “America’s royal wedding.”

More from NBC:

A representative for pop superstar Taylor Swift confirmed that she and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce got married in a ceremony officiated by com Adam Sandler at Madison Square Garden tonight. Swift was accompanied by her “man of honor,” brother Austin Swift, while Kelce had brother and fellow football great Jason Kelce as best man.

A source with knowledge of their wedding, who is among the invitees, told NBC News that 1,100 people were expected to attend the celebration. Guests were sent nondisclosure agreements along with the electronic invites. There are also no phones allowed, the source said.

Ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend, city officials planned for an influx of fans, tourists and paparazzi who may want to get close to the action. It was a sweltering 100 degrees in Manhattan, but that didn’t stop fans from gathering to get a glimpse of the spectacle.

Images and video began circulating online of various VIP guests, like Swift’s longtime best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, and A-listers such as: model Karlie Kloss (whom Swift was rumored to have a falling out with), model Gigi Hadid and boyfriend actor Bradley Cooper, several of Kelce’s Chiefs teammates and a slew of musicians.

Meanwhile, 10,000 customers in Queens, New York, went without power and air conditioning as temperatures soared above 100 degrees. But America’s so-called royal family is partying with over a thousand guests in the comfortably cooled 820,000 square foot arena.
