The violence broke out just after 8 p.m. at Canada’s largest Latin street festival.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while at least six people were found with gunshot wounds and were being treated for their injuries.

Reports from the scene described bystanders fleeing in panic as gunshots rang out.
Toronto Police issued updates on social media, stating that officers had secured the scene but were still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible.

Toronto Police have not yet released information on whether the shooting was a targeted attack, a fight, or random violence.
