An illegal alien driving a semi-truck without a license was arrested and is facing numerous charges for a crash that involved a vehicle and another semi-truck.

The crash took place this past Wednesday in Jasper County, which is located in Northwest Indiana.

Emmanuel Lopez Tlacomulco, 38, who was living in East Chicago, is accused of running a red light and crashing into a Buick on State Road 10.

According to the authorities, the force of the collision caused the Buick to hit another semi-truck. A grandmother driving the Buick and her 3-year-old grandchild were badly injured and had to be airlifted to two separate hospitals.

The driver of the other semi-truck was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

JASPER COUNTY, Ind. — A semi-truck driver is facing multiple charges after a Northwest Indiana crash that injured a woman and a 3-year-old.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department received multiple 911 calls just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday regarding a multi-vehicle accident at State Road 10 and CR 1200 W in DeMotte.

Emmanuel Lopez Tlacomulco, 38, of East Chicago, is accused of disregarding a red light and colliding with a silver Buick on State Road 10.

An ICE detainer was placed on Tlacomulco, since he was found to be illegally in the United States.

The massive crash closed the road for many hours until it could be cleared.
