There goes the Democrat votes.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 10,000 people over a five-day stretch at the end of June — a massive surge for the agency carrying out President Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda.

That works out to roughly 2,000 arrests per day. Every single day.

If ICE continues at this clip that would mean 2,000,000 deportations from the homeland by the time President Trump leaves office.

The five-day period started Friday, June 26, and ended Tuesday, June 30. The arrest figures were obtained from a person familiar with the data who spoke anonymously because the information had not been publicly released.

And here’s the interesting part… The agency shifted its approach. Instead of the high-profile arrest sweeps in major American cities, ICE moved to quieter methods to reach the President’s deportation goals. The crackdown on individual cities may have cooled. But the arrests are still surging.

It was not clear where the arrests took place. The spike was first reported by The New York Times.

The Department of Homeland Security did not hold back in its statement.

The Associated Press reported:

“Since Day One, DHS law enforcement has been delivering on President Trump’s promise to the American people to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens including murderers, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, and terrorists,” said the Department of Homeland Security in a statement. “Our message is clear: if you come to our country illegally, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will deport you.”

Clear enough.

The arrest news comes as the number of people entered into ICE detention facilities climbed in June to roughly 39,000. That’s a jump after the number had been hovering around 30,000 per month since February, according to information obtained by The Associated Press.

ICE doesn’t publicly release arrest data, which makes exact comparisons with previous periods difficult.
