DSA Official Says They Plan to Influence the 2028 Democrat Primary, Will be ‘Thrilled’ if AOC Runs (VIDEO) * The Gateway Pundit * by Mike LaChance
Screencap of Twitter/X video.
Gustavo Gordillo is the co-chair of the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) in New York City. During a recent appearance on MSNOW, he was asked about the 2028 election and the role the DSA might play in the Democrat primary.
Gordillo admits that they plan to try to influence the primary and then says many of the members will be happy if far left New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the nominee.
People have been speculating for months over whether or not AOC will run for president and she has been very coy about it when asked. This just confirms that actual members of the DSA want her to run.

MS NOW HOST: Do you think it’s too early for me to ask if the path to the presidency for a Democrat is going to run through DSA?
GUSTAVO GORDILLO: I think that we will be trying to influence the next presidential primary, and it’s still too soon to say how, to say who. I think that many in the organization would be very thrilled if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ended up running, but ultimately that’s her decision, and we’ll be in conversation.

This isn’t exactly a surprise.
Ever since AOC first burst onto the political scene, she has been the subject of constant gushing from the liberal media and far left Democrats who seem to think she is the new Obama.
The true believers at the DSA may be shocked to learn that the vast middle of the country does not feel that way, especially now that the DSA is cannibalizing the Democrat Party and showing everyone their true colors.
