President Trump is scheduled to hold a press conference today before departing the G7 Summit.

Trump will likely discuss his newly signed memorandum of understanding with Iran.

Details from the agreement are emerging ahead of the Friday signing ceremony in Switzerland. The deal is expected to extend the ceasefire to Israel and Hezbollah, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and provide various forms of relief for Iran as negotiations continue for 60 days.

Trump this morning went off on Barack Obama for surrendering to Iran and attempting to bribe them with his 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

“Nobody could have made this deal. I mean, the JCPOA, done by Obama, he handed them $1.7 billion in cash,” Trump said. “You know what the Iranians did? They laughed at Obama, and they said he’s a stupid son of a b*tch!”

Trump announced the press conference on Truth Social, noting that he'll be having dinner at the Palace of Versailles with European leaders before flying back to the US tonight. "The trip was a Great Success but, mostly what people wanted to talk about, is the fact that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon, and that the Strait of Hormuz will immediately be opened," Trump said.

Trump said on Tuesday that he would release the full text of the Iran memorandum of understanding and hold a press conference to read it “word-by-word, so that the press covers it accurately.” It is unclear whether he will read the memo today.

The press conference is expected to begin at approximately 10:45 ET.
