Trump delivers a press conference to discuss Iran memorandum of understanding at the G7 Summit
President Trump went off on the Fake News Media during his press conference at the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on Wednesday, blasting leftist outlets multiple times throughout his responses to various questions.
Trump held a press conference at the G7 Summit, where he and US officials read the 14 points of his memorandum of understanding with Iran aloud to the press.
Trump spoke for nearly an hour before taking roughly 30 minutes of questions, during which he nuked the Fake News Media, calling out ABC, NBC, CNN, and the New York Times for their failed attempts to discredit him.
When asked by Fox’s Peter Doocy, “How do you go back to the United States and convince a skeptical American public that this deal is a win?” Trump said, “It’s very tough,” noting that he’ll have bad press from the left-wing media “no matter what.”
“We need a fair press, and that’s why they’re all doing so badly, because they lost credibility. When I went in a landslide, and I had 93% bad press, they’d take good stories about me and make them bad, but the only reason that happened is because they have so little, the media has so little credibility that the people voted for me,” Trump said.
“93% of the stories on network— ABC is horrible. I think ABC is the worst, NBC is terrible, and CBS is terrible. CNN, obviously.”
“I never get good stories, no matter what I do. I could do the greatest thing, I won’t get good stories on this. I’ll get it from fair media, I’ll get it from all over the world, they’re writing good, but no matter what I do, I’m going to get bad press,” Trump added, slamming the “so-called geniuses that want to show me how smart they are.”

Trump later called on ABC, telling the reporter, “You’re from ABC. You’re fake news. Go ahead,” before taking a question on US sanctions against Iran and whether the Strait of Hormuz would reopen and remain permanently toll-free.
Trump confirmed that the deal would be performance based and that Iran would get sanctions relief to help them rebuild “as soon as they behave.” “as soon as they behave. When they behave, we’re going to let that go. We’re going to have to,” he said.

Trump further responded to Democrats’ abysmal polling numbers, but questioned the polls, noting that “polls are very dishonest, just like a lot of reporters, like these people over here are very dishonest, CNN, ABC. It’s a whole group of them over there.” He continued, ” They’re really dishonest people.”
Trump went on to note that Republicans are “coming up strong” as the Democrats send “lunatics” to run in the general elections, specifically pointing to Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner. “For 10 years they’ve been calling me a Nazi, and now they have a Nazi running! He’s got a tattoo on him. I’ve been denying it for 10 years. They know it’s not so, but they’ve been calling— I don’t think they could call it to me anymore.”
