President Trump on Thursday suggested that, given the success of Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner and Texas Democratic Senate Nominee James Talarico, Hunter Biden could win the Democratic nomination for President in 2028.

“Well, you would think that, you know, past has something to do with winning an election, and I would say his past is not the greatest,” Trump said, chuckling and mocking Biden over his business dealings in Ukraine and Trump’s “Where’s Hunter?” catchphrase. But then, Trump appeared to realize that he’s talking about the Democratic Party.

“If the guy from Maine can do well, I guess Hunter can do well too,” Trump said, describing Platner as a “basket case,” but not worse than Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico.

“I would say worse than him is the one from Texas that looks like Alfred E. Newman,” Trump said.

I would say that if he can do well, maybe Hunter can do well. I’m not sure. It would be pretty close, as far as I’m concerned.

Doocy: Hunter Biden, he’s on social media now, and he has suggested, maybe joking, I don’t know, that he could run for president in 2028. How would he do, Hunter Biden, in a 2028 Democratic primary?

Trump: Well, you would think that, you know, past has something to do with winning an election, and I would say his past is not the greatest. “Where’s Hunter?” Remember, my “Where’s Hunter?” became the number one shirt anywhere in the world for about three weeks?

I’m not going to say bad— I’m sure, you know, hey, if the guy from Maine can do well, I guess Hunter can do well too because the guy from Maine is a basket case, and I would say worse than him is the one from Texas that looks like Alfred E. Newman. I would say that if he can do well, maybe Hunter can do well. I’m not sure. It would be pretty close, as far as I’m concerned.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden has seemingly been rebranding himself as an anti-establishment political figure through social media activity and interview appearances.

In a recent interview with podcaster Candace Owens, Biden slammed the “DC elite of the left” and discussed trending topics like Israel, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and the Epstein files.

Biden also recently went viral on X with candid responses to people trolling him for being a drug addict. Over the last two weeks, Biden has been posting about sobriety, responding to trolls, and opining on politics.

In one recent post, he claims that “someone called me the MAGA whisperer,” adding that he’ll “gladly take the title” and slamming the Republican and Democratic parties. “Love your neighbor. Be yourself… But still f*ck Jake “Brick Tamland” Tapper on any time line,” he said:

WTF timeline are we on. Someone called me the MAGA whisperer and I’ll gladly take the title. Left, right, D or R we all want the same things. We’re being divided on purpose by the Epstein Elite Oligarch class because as long as we’re at each other’s throats, they get fat and rich off of our misery. The second we figure out we agree on more than we disagree, they’re done. Love your neighbor. Be yourself. Radical honesty. No fucks given, no fucks taken. Everything else is just noise. (But still fuck Jake “Brick Tamland” Tapper on any time line)

Biden later responded to Trump’s comments on Thursday, writing, “The MAGA Whisperer Strikes Again!”
