The USA men’s soccer team made America proud on Friday night.

The USA World Cup team scored four goals and defeated Paraquay, 4-1. This was the most goals ever recorded by a US team in World Cup competition.

But the team also stood out for their conduct before and after the match.

During the beautiful singing of the National Anthem ALL of the players stood at attention with their hands over their heart in front of 70,000 fans.

The US went on to win the match with three goals in the first half.

Following this historic night, the entire team went on the pitch for a group prayer.

A diverse group of soccer players and staff huddle together on the field, celebrating a significant victory after a match.The US men’s World Cup team all gathered midfield and said a prayer together following their win over Paraquay.

This should not surprise you. Many of the team’s biggest stars, from Christian Pulisic to Weston McKennie, have been open about their faith, creating a new dynamic for a home World Cup.

USMNT’s captain and arguably its most recognisable figure, Christian Pulisic, has been open about how faith in Jesus gives him strength and keeps him grounded.

On Friday night after the game, the entire team went to midfield and prayed to God. What an AMAZING sight!
