President Trump on Thursday afternoon canceled the scheduled airstrikes and bombings against Iran.
Trump said progress has been made and “final points” have been approved by all parties involved.
Full statement from President Trump:
Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening.
Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.
The Naval Blockade will remain in full force and effect until this Transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly.

According to CBS News, the memo will be signed sometime next week.

On Tuesday, the US Military launched strikes against Iran after the downing of an Apache helicopter.
Central Command announced that US Army crew were safely rescued after an Apache helicopter was lost at sea.
The US Military conducted additional self-defense air strikes against Iran on Wednesday evening.
At 7:33 p.m. ET on June 8, two crew members from a U.S. Army AH-64 Apache were rescued by American forces after their helicopter went down near the coast of Oman while patrolling regional waters.
The Soldiers were safely rescued within approximately two hours and are in stable condition. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
Rescue efforts were led by U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the 82nd Airborne Division, with support from U.S. Air Force and Navy units including U.S. 5th Fleet’s Task Force 59.
President Trump later confirmed that the two US pilots are safe and uninjured.

“CENTCOM forces launched strikes on Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran. U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters,” CENTCOM said.
“The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready,” CENTCOM said.
