An active shooter situation is unfolding in Midland, Texas.
The Ector County Sheriff on Friday confirmed there is a suspect barricaded in a building in downtown Midland.
Officials say one person is dead and 11 others are injured. Multiple people have been transported to local hospitals.
Video posted to social media shows police officers exchanging gunfire with the suspect.
Breaking: Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis has confirmed an active shooter situation in Midland.
Authorities say the suspect is currently barricaded inside a building in downtown Midland, near the Tall City Vet Clinic, All American Collision, and the Victorian Inn.
