Cornyn Admits He Lied to Voters in Shocking Moment of Candor * The Gateway Pundit * by Cristina Laila
Outgoing RINO Senator John Cornyn admitted he lied to voters in a shocking moment of candor in remarks to CNN reporter Manu Raju.
Cornyn lost the Texas primary runoff last month to Trump-backed MAGA hero Ken Paxton.
Last month, President Trump endorsed Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate Republican primary and passed up John Cornyn.
“Ken Paxton has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next United States Senator from the Great State of Texas – KEN PAXTON WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” Trump said.
Trump said Cornyn is a “good man,” but noted that Cornyn was not supportive of him when times were tough.
On May 26, Ken Paxton trounced Cornyn and defeated him by 28 points.
CNN reporter Manu Raju asked Cornyn whether he feels he has more freedom after losing to Paxton and being unseated.
“Are you kidding? Of course. Absolutely. My liberation day: May 26,” Cornyn confidently said.
Asked John Cornyn if he feels like he has more freedom now, and he said with a smile: “Are you kidding? Of course. Absolutely. My liberation day: May 26.”

Interesting pivot from just a few weeks ago during the primary election.
Cornyn had a very different tone when courting voters.
“I have worked closely with President Trump through both of his Presidential terms and voted with him more than 99% of the time,” Cornyn said a few weeks ago during the election.
“He has consistently called me a friend in this race. It is now time for Texas Republican voters to decide if they want a strong nominee to help our GOP candidates down ballot and defeat Talarico in November, or a weak nominee who jeopardizes everything we care about. I trust the Republican voters of Texas,” Cornyn said three weeks ago.
