Tina Peters advocates for constitutional rights, featured in a promotional image highlighting her activism and legal challenges.

Today at 4:30 p.m. ET in Colorado, former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters will have her appeal hearing to overturn her conviction on seven counts relating to her efforts to secure a forensic image of the Dominion Voting System software while it was under her custody prior to a “Trusted Build” performed by the Secretary of State of Colorado.

The Gateway Pundit covered her trial and has also covered the efforts to get the 70-year-old Gold Star mother out of prison since the trial.

President Trump has since pardoned Tina Peters; however, the convictions were at the state level, so there is controversy about whether or not the President has the authority to do so.

Jared Polis last week called Tina Peters' sentence "harsh" and said that he would look into possible actions to commute her sentence given her age and lack of criminal history or violence, according to the Denver Post.

Much scrutiny remains over the handling of her case by Judge Matthew Barrett regarding arguments that were forbidden to be made and evidence excluded from her trial.  There was also scrutiny over whether or not exculpatory evidence was withheld from Tina Peters' defense and how that evidence might have affected how the investigation began.
