In a stunning display of irony, left-wing activists have rallied behind a Change.org petition calling for the deportation of rap superstar Nicki Minaj back to her native Trinidad after she boldly came out in support of President Donald Trump.
The petition, which has nearly 80,000 signatures as of New Year’s Day, accuses Minaj of “spiraling” and “experiencing psychosis.”
“Nicki Minaj is currently spiraling out of control and seems to be experiencing psychosis,” the petition states. “Her erratic behavior has led her to harass the Carters, a well-respected and completely innocent American family. Despite having no justifiable reason to target them, her relentless pursuit has become a source of distress and disruption for their lives. This type of behavior is not only unacceptable but warrants intervention on a societal level.”
This isn’t about any real threat. It’s about punishing her for embracing conservative values.
The petition, started by an anonymous user hiding behind the snarky handle “Pedonika Minaj,” a jab at her fanbase and her husband Kenneth Petty’s past legal trouble, lists a laundry list of grievances.
It blasts Minaj for her public feud with Jay-Z and Roc Nation earlier in the year, her “fierce” defense of Petty (a registered sex offender), and alleged harassment of his victims.
But the real trigger? Her appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest (AmFest) in Phoenix, Arizona, last month where she was dubbed “Nicki MAGAJ” for her unapologetic alignment with MAGA principles.
For years, Democrats and their media allies have wailed about President Trump’s tough immigration policies, decrying deportations as cruel, inhumane, and racially motivated. They’ve painted ICE as the boogeyman and turned illegal immigrants into untouchable martyrs. Yet now, these same hypocrites are gleefully signing a petition to boot out Nicki Minaj, a legal immigrant who came to the U.S. as a child from Trinidad and Tobago, built an empire through hard work, and became a naturalized citizen.
This isn’t Minaj’s first brush with leftist backlash.
She’s been targeted for years for refusing to toe the party line, from her skepticism about COVID-19 vaccines to her willingness to engage with figures like Tucker Carlson. But her AmFest appearance with conservative activist Erika Kirk took it to a new level. There, Minaj opened up about faith, freedom, and the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, declaring, “We’re not backing down anymore. We are not going to be silenced by the bullies anymore.”
Minaj praised Trump as “handsome” and expressed “utmost respect and admiration” for him. She also hailed Vice President JD Vance as “an assassin” and mocked California Governor Gavin Newsom as “New-scum.”
“I’m not gonna back down anymore,” Minaj said at the event. “I’m not gonna back down ever again.”
In November, Minaj also spoke at the United Nations about the systematic slaughter of Christians in Nigeria.
Minaj thanked President Donald Trump for his efforts “to defend Christians in Nigeria, to combat extremism and to bring a stop to violence against those who simply want to exercise their natural right to freedom of religion or belief.”
