Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has said he plans to help prosecute ICE agents if or when Democrats take back power.

Pritzker, who many on the left fancy as a possible presidential candidate for 2020, said in an interview this week that Democrats were already making preparations to try to put people in prison.

”We have succeeded in many ways, but we can’t stop it until we win the Congress back; that’s the beginning of stopping it.”

“At least doing hearings and making sure we are bringing to light all the things they are doing.”

”We have an Illinois accountability commission that just had its first hearing today and that hearing was testimony, video, experts and we’re basically gathering evidence because we are going to hold these people accountable when we can,” he continued.

Since Trump took office back in January, Pritzker has been a central figure in the Democratic opposition, particularly with regard to blocking the administration’s efforts to carry out immigration raids in Chicago.

According to data recently released by the Department of Homeland Security, Pritzker has deliberately released some 1,700 convicted criminal illegal aliens, including murderers, kidnappers, and child predators, as part of his resistance efforts.

Back in October, White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller warned Pritzker that he himself could face criminal prosecution for deliberately obstructing federal law enforcement efforts.

“If you ou engage in a criminal conspiracy to obstruct the enforcement of federal immigration laws or to unlawfully order your own police officers or your own officials to try to interfere with ICE officers or even to arrest ICE officers, you’re engaged in criminal activity,” he explained at the time.

“Different types of crimes would apply. There is obstruction of justice. There is harboring illegal aliens. There is impeding the enforcement of immigration laws.”

“And then, as you to get up the scale of behavior, you obviously get into seditious conspiracy charges, depending on the conduct, and many other offenses,” he continued.

”So again, it depends on the action. It depends the conduct. It depends on what is taking place.”
