Mitch McConnell gives health update as he releases new ‘proof of life’ picture after death conspiracy theories ran wild

SENATOR Mitch McConnell has been discharged from the hospital after suffering a fall at his home, but will not return to Capitol Hill yet.

McConnell, 84, was hospitalized on June 14 after suffering a fall that left him briefly unconscious.

McConnell said in a statement released by his office on Monday that he was “working hard” to get back to work.

“I’m still working hard to get back to my full schedule of work in the Senate and in Kentucky, keeping up with intense physical therapy per my doctors’ orders,” McConnell said.

“Unfortunately, that means I won’t be able to make it to Fancy Farm, Kentucky this Saturday.”
