Tulsi Gabbard's brother charged in 'stranger danger' case at hotel pool
Tulsi Gabbard’s older brother allegedly tried to lure several young children into a hotel room with money and gum at a Hawaiian hotel resort.
Batarti Gabbard, the 55-year-old sibling of the former national intelligence director, was charged in connection to a “stranger danger incident,” at a hotel pool area in the resort-packed Waikīkī neighborhood on July 12, the Honolulu Police Department said.
The elder Gabbard allegedly approached the minors, including a 9-year-old boy, offering them gum and money if they followed him to a room at around 2 p.m., officials said.
He also asked for the children’s names, writing them in a notebook, according to police.
All the children denied Gabbard’s alleged advances before the older man walked away.
