Trump, Vance and Iranian leader have signed memorandum of understanding
A senior U.S. official told Reuters that President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf signed the memorandum of understanding between the countries. The official added that details of the agreement will be released within 24 to 48 hours and will include the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the American blockade on it, unfreezing of Iranian funds and easing of sanctions. According to the source, the U.S. intends to maintain the current deployment of military forces during the next stage of negotiations, and will consider reducing forces only after signing a final agreement.
