Man found dead in Dick's Sporting Goods fitting room near Tampa
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating a shooting at Dick’s House of Sport at the Brandon Exchange Mall.
“Sheriff Chronister has no tolerance for this type of violence, particularly in this type of community setting where people come together to have a good time,” said Deputy Chief Joseph Maurer.
Deputies said one male individual was found deceased inside a fitting room.
HCSO officials reviewed surveillance video and said it showed three individuals walking into the Dick’s store from the mall and entering the fitting room.
“Moments later, after we received that 911 call, we noticed from the video that two individuals are seen walking from the fitting room and then running from the fitting room into this parking lot,” said Deputy Chief Maurer.
