The NFL season is starting to get closer to starting, and teams will be reporting to mini-camp next week.
Just a few days ago, the Steelers were unsure what their offense would look like, but news was released that former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers agreed to join head coach Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh.
Rodgers is a four-time NFL MVP and was teasing the idea of heading to Pittsburgh throughout the summer, and now he finally agreed to join the Mike Tomlin-led Steelers just in time for the team’s mini-camp.
Throughout his career, Rodgers has been known as one of the greatest quarterbacks of this generation with an impressive resume to back it up.
After agreeing to terms on Thursday, Rodgers flew out to Pittsburgh to sign the contract, and some more in-depth details released on the deal.
Rodgers signed a one-year deal that’s worth up to $19.5 million; $10 million will be guaranteed with the base salary being set at $13.65 million, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
