President Donald Trump briefed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on "American moves in the Gulf" during a phone call Thursday after the U.S. launched renewed strikes against Iran, according to the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.
The call came as America and Iran exchanged attacks following the collapse of a ceasefire that Trump said was violated by Tehran.
The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu's office said Trump updated the Israeli leader on U.S. actions in the Gulf and that the two leaders discussed regional developments.
The Israeli readout said Netanyahu also raised concerns about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements toward Israel and a possible U.S. sale of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.
No additional details were released about Trump's briefing to Netanyahu.
The conversation followed a new round of U.S. military strikes against Iran after Iranian attacks on American interests in the region.
The renewed fighting has raised concerns over the security of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route where Iran previously threatened to disrupt shipping.
Trump has repeatedly said preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon remains his top priority and has warned Tehran that continued attacks against U.S. forces or regional interests would bring further military action.
Israeli officials have said they remain in close coordination with Washington as tensions with Iran continue to rise.
