Spencer Pratt: 'Are They Done Counting Yet?' in LA Race

Spencer Pratt appeared to take a swipe at Los Angeles' prolonged vote-counting process Thursday, after his early election-night lead in the mayoral race vanished as additional mail ballots were tallied.

"Are they done counting yet?" Pratt, a Republican, wrote on X.

The former reality television star, who was endorsed by President Donald Trump, initially led on election night and outperformed many political observers' expectations.

However, his advantage narrowed as additional mail-in ballots were counted in the days following the election.

Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, a Democrat, has since opened a lead of more than 40,000 votes and is set to advance to a November runoff against incumbent Democratic Mayor Karen Bass.

Pratt has not directly addressed the outcome of the race since it was called.

Shortly after his mayoral hopes faded, Pratt posted a cryptic image on social media showing a lone duck floating on calm water at sunset.

The post quickly drew reactions from followers.

"Sitting duck," one person commented.

"Like water off a duck's back," another wrote, adding a folded-hands emoji.

Pratt has not publicly explained the meaning of the post, which came as supporters continued debating the election results and discussing the future of his political movement.

His only other public comments came after late-night host Jimmy Kimmel mocked his defeat during Tuesday night's monologue.

"I know things might be tight right now, especially with the out-of-state donation money running out," Kimmel said.

"Moving is expensive, so to help you out we rented you a U-Haul," he said.

"Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you, and everybody will notice you and wave goodbye as you leave," the late-night host added.

Pratt responded Wednesday by posting video of his wildfire-destroyed Pacific Palisades home.

"Jimmy Kimmel, I guess you missed a part of the story. I don't need a U-Haul ... I have nothing left to pack," he wrote.

Pratt launched his mayoral campaign after losing his Southern California home in last year's devastating wildfires.

Since the election last week, allegations of irregularities and voter fraud have circulated online, including claims amplified by the president.

"Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday. "3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!" he wrote.

But California election officials, including the Los Angeles County Registrar's Office and the Secretary of State's Office, have disputed those claims and said the election was conducted properly.
