The Trump administration remains at loggerheads with conservative groups as it continues to push rail safety language into the surface transportation bill.

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have pushed for the Railway Safety Act to be part of the Surface Transportation Reauthorization bill since the massive train derailment took place in East Palestine in Ohio — Vance's home state.
