The Lioness program is gearing up for another dangerous mission. Season 3 hits Paramount+ on Sunday, Aug. 2, picking up with CIA station chief Joe McNamara and the covert operation she commands.

The cast

Oscar-winner Zoe Saldaña is back at the helm as Joe, going toe-to-toe with Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman's Kaitlyn Meade, the CIA supervisor calling the shots above her. Oscar winner Morgan Freeman and Emmy nominee Michael Kelly return in their roles as Edwin and Westfield. Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan  (Landman, Tulsa King, Dutton Ranch and more) executive produces alongside Saldaña and Kidman.

What's the story this time?

Season 3 pulls Joe into a fight with no clear boundaries, in which hidden networks, foreign operatives and personal betrayals collide. Joe walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life. The teaser makes that clear: "This isn't the end of a fight," Kaitlyn warns. "This is the start of one."
