John Morgan, founder of the law firm Morgan and Morgan, told Newsmax on Wednesday that Jill Biden should not have supported her husband, former President Joe Biden, in his decision to run for reelection.
Morgan, a major donor to the Bidens, has criticized claims made in the former first lady's book that she thought her husband may have been suffering a stroke during his disastrous June 2024 debate with now-President Donald Trump.
Biden dropped out of the race less than four weeks after the debate.
"I own nursing homes in Florida. Dementia is a hard disease to catch," Morgan said on "Finnerty." "It happens slowly over time, but the people who see it first is your family. And she had to see what we all finally saw that night."
Morgan criticized Jill Biden for saying she hadn't seen Joe Biden act that way before or since.
"Remember the George Clooney event where Barack Obama was holding him by the hand to sit him down?" Morgan said. "Of course she saw it since."
"At the White House, you could call down at 11 at night and get a cheeseburger. You could go out by the pool at the White House and order sangrias and margaritas," Morgan said. "Well, I don't want to leave the Four Seasons either, but at some point in time, you have to put the country first. And she didn't at all. It's all on her."
Morgan said he still communicates with members of Biden's family.
"I feel bad for Joe Biden because he does not deserve this," Morgan said. "But this week you see him wandering up to a stage. At a certain point in time, we have to take the keys away."
