Dem who briefly flirted with common sense on trans issues forced to BEND THE KNEE now that he wants to be a blue state senator

We could also use a laugh after last night's election results, so let's all take a look at Democrat Congressman Seth Moulton. There was a point early this year when he realized Democrats were on the wrong side of history when it came to trans activism. Then he decided that he wanted to be a United States Senator in Massachusetts. Now he's pandering to those same trans activists, because you need to be an unhinged leftist lunatic to win statewide.

The lack of dignity and self-respect here should be marvelled at and studied.

Last December, after Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump, one of the many reasons listed was Kamala going all in on every far-left fever dream she could think of. Moulton decided he would cosplay as a common-sense "moderate" Democrat. He took a stand against allowing boys in girls' sports because, quote, "I have two little girls, I don't want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I'm supposed to be afraid to say that."

These bars are key:

“I’ve never had more people, parents and, by the way, a lot of L.G.B.T.Q. community members, reach out to me and say, ‘Thank you for saying this. Some of them are just speaking authentically as parents. Some of them believe the trans movement has gone too far. It is imperiling the progress we’ve made.

In May of this year, he was on with Bill Maher and said, "We can't have disagreements" in the Democrat party, and that as a Democrat, I'm not allowed to say that boys are boys and girls are girls. Maher praised him for telling "douchebags to get the f*ck out of the party."

But that was so six months ago. He wants to be a senator now, so he has to pander to those douchebags and, it would appear, no longer cares about his two little girls getting hurt while playing field hockey, volleyball, or basketball.

After first claiming that the LGBTQ+EIEIO community praised him and said the trans activism went too far, now he claims that the same community has caused him to see the error of his ways.

“My intent has always been to push our party to have honest, tough conversations so we can fight back more effectively against the far-right attacks on LGBTQ Americans. I remain committed to protecting the rights and dignity of transgender Americans and to having these conversations with empathy and respect, even when they’re difficult,” Moulton continued.
He added that he has “heard from a lot of LGBTQ+ advocates, both locally and nationally, who have reached out to thank me for my past support and for starting a conversation that our party needs to have about the best way to protect the trans community.”

Those of us in the right-wing blogosphere and those of they/them from the LGBTQ+EIEIO activist left don't see eye to eye on most things. I'd like to think that if we can find common ground on anything, it's to point and laugh at the transparent hackery of politicians like Seth Moulton. If we can agree on anything, we can agree on how pathetic this is.
