Actress Jennifer Lawrence's shocking revelation: Trump derangement is pointless, and America doesn't care what Hollywood thinks

The anti-Trump actress Jennifer Lawrence is discovering that it doesn't pay to be anti-Trump anymore. As it turns out, Americans tune Hollywood out when it comes to politics, and Lawrence may want some of them to see her movies. Go figure, amirite?
It's fun to have fun at the actress's expense in this matter. Plus, these clicks don't bait themselves. But truth be told, I am a fan of hers. Like Crazy is a hidden gem. Days of Future Past is my favorite of the comic book genre. And the Hunger Games are surprisingly based, even if the author didn't realize it while writing the books.
Some of Jennifer's political screeds? Not so much.
Now, she tells Variety she doesn't see a point anymore. The left convicted him of bookkeeping errors and of paying off a loan too quickly. Oh, and the assassination attempt. Americans still voted for him regardless of how many celebrities repeated whatever talking points their PR team was sent by the Democrats that week.
The actress thinks her energies can be spent elsewhere.
"But as we’ve learned, election after election, celebrities do not make a difference whatsoever on who people vote for. So then what am I doing? I’m just sharing my opinion on something that’s going to add fuel to a fire that’s ripping the country apart."
"I don’t want to start turning people off to films and to art that could change consciousness or change the world because they don’t like my political opinions. I want to protect my craft so that you can still get lost in what I’m doing."
Americans are fed up, and the left is slow to realize that. Take Leonardo DiCaprio's One Battle After Another. It was marketed as "Leonardo DiCaprio is Donald Trump's worst nightmare." Americans rolled their eyes and decided that if we wanted to watch left-wing fan fiction, we could just turn on CNN. It bombed at the box office. Now they want you to think it's not a left-wing movie, even though that's exactly how it was marketed.
A lesson Lawrence may take note of, as she channels her politics elsewhere.
"I try to express my politics through my work. A lot of movies coming out from my production company are expressions of the political landscape, and that’s how I feel like I can be helpful."
There isn't anything inherently wrong with political movies. Some of the best movies are, and because it's Hollywood, 98,6% of the time it's politics that contradict my own. That's fine. Engaging stories are engaging stories. It depends on how lazy the writing is. We'll see what her production company comes up with. At least she appears to realize a noun, a verb, and F*CK TRUMP isn't working.
