American conservative commentator Tucker Carlson "begged" evangelical Christian Zionist leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore to apologize for calling him an antisemite, she revealed exclusively to the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday.

Carlson's request centered on an op-ed penned by Cardoza-Moore in the Jerusalem Post in February of this year, in which she commented on a picture of Carlson with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk at the White House by saying "Tucker Carlson’s antisemitism does not reflect the values of the Trump administration." She then asked Trump to ban Carlson from the White House over his "blatant antisemitism."

On Wednesday, Cardoza-Moore revealed that, following the publication of the article, she received a surprise call from the man himself.

“Shortly after the Jerusalem Post story was published, Tucker Carlson, whom I have never spoken to in person, called to beg me for a public apology for labelling him an antisemite," she said.

"I had clearly touched a nerve for the former Trump confidante, but I would not back down."

She recalled her call with the controversial figure, saying "Tucker kept me on the phone for over twenty minutes, questioning my Christian credentials and suggesting I had lost my way as an Evangelical."

"I explained to him that he clearly hadn’t made it past the book of Genesis which clearly states: “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you”.

Had he read his Bible, he would not have made the cardinal mistake of breaking the Ninth Commandment in bearing false witness against God’s Chosen People. With today’s tweet from the President, we saw Tucker Carlson’s career crumble before his eyes. It was an easily avoidable implosion of Biblical proportions.”

She was referring here to the President's message in truth social: "Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that,” IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”

"Now Tucker Carlson owes the entire Jewish People an apology for standing with Iran when they were actively seeking the destruction of the one and only Jewish State," Cardoza-Moore told the Post.

Cardoza-Moore, ended by saying  “The God of Israel has handed us our enemy on a golden platter. Who are you to bite the hand that feeds you? The Islamic Republic of Iran has been bent on America’s destruction from day one– they cannot have a nuclear weapon. Now is not the time for weak Americans with wobbly knees. Now is the time for the decisive leadership and action of President Donald J. Trump."

Carlson has come under on myriad occasions for his stance on Israel, Iran and Jews. Late in 2024, Diaspora Minister Amichais Chikli called Carlson  "the leading platform for fringe Holocaust deniers, conspiracy theorists, and blood libel enthusiasts who oppose the State of Israel."

The Jerusalem Post reached out to Carlson for a response but has not received a response..
