A 40-year-old Senegalese man denied raping a minor with an intellectual disability after appearing before the Palma Provincial Court on Monday.
The defendant, sitting with his interpreter, answered questions only from his lawyer and claimed he had never entered the garage in Manacor where the alleged sexual assault took place.
The court accepted as evidence a statement previously given by the victim, in which she stated she had met the accused through Instagram and had exchanged messages with him before agreeing to meet.
As reported by Ultima Hora, prosecutors allege the man went to the garage of the victim’s home at around 4 p.m. on April 30, 2020. They claim he knew she had a “clearly perceptible” intellectual disability.
According to the prosecution’s account, the defendant persuaded the teenager to open the garage door before entering the property. Once inside, he allegedly forced her to undress and touched her genitals.
The victim reportedly told him she did not want any form of sexual contact and asked him to allow her to leave.
Prosecutors allege the man prevented her from leaving and threatened to take a knife and kill either her or her sister if she continued to resist, Diario de Mallorca reported.
He then allegedly threw a mattress onto the garage floor and raped the teenager for approximately 10 minutes. The prosecution said the victim attempted to stop him but was unable to force him off of her.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a nine-year prison sentence, followed by the defendant’s deportation from Spain after he has served three-quarters of his sentence.
Prosecutors are also requesting that he pay the victim €20,000 in compensation for the emotional harm she suffered.

They are not grateful for all this support that the indigenous Infidel taxpayers have paid for; they regard this cornucopia of benefits as a kind of proleptic jizyah that is theirs by right, and the women of Europe, including those who are mentally disabled, as theirs for the taking.
There has been a dramatic rise during the last year in the support for those politicians called, quite inaccurately, “far-right” in Europe because they simply want to end Muslim immigration and to deport those Muslims who now live in Europe illegally, or have been convicted of crimes. Among them are Alice Weidel of the Alternative für Deutschland in Germany, Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen of the National Rally in France, and others. As John Milton wrote in his Areopagitica, “Methinks I see in my mind a noble and puissant nation rousing herself like a strong man after sleep, and shaking her invincible locks.” That “noble and puissant nation” is Europe, awakening from a deep dream of impossible peace between Muslims and the West, or more exactly, between Muslims and all the rest.
