George W. Bush Makes Shocking Appearance on Manningcast
Former President George W. Bush made a surprise appearance on ESPN’s ManningCast during the Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders.
The 79-year-old Bush, a frequent attendee at Cowboys games, joined Peyton and Eli Manning for a casual segment, devoid of politics, and cracked a few jokes with the brothers.
Eli Manning teased Bush about his preparation for the appearance, but the former President was ready to return fire.
“How long have you been preparing for this ManningCast appearance?” Eli asked
“About 10 minutes,” Bush quipped.
He then took a jab at the Mannings’ oversaturation in TV advertising, joking, “By the way, I’m so pleased to see your faces not on a TV commercial.”
George W. Bush keeps the jokes flowingGeorge W. Bush chatted casually with the Mannings about his Texas roots, the Cowboys, and settled comfortably into the broadcast’s relaxed style. He even joked about his well-known college days, or daze.
“Mr. President, growing up, did you think you would go into public service?” Peyton asked.
“No,” Bush replied. “I would’ve behaved a hell of a lot better in college.”

It was an undeniably fun segment. Though some fans weren’t thrilled, pouting about the former President sullying their screens during the game.
“Guess I’m done watching ManningCast. What a pathetic joke,” one user wrote on X, according to TMSPN. Another added, “Why the hell is George Bush on the ManningCast, breh?”
We’re sure they’ll be crushed about a snowflake unable to handle Bush on their screens making a few mundane jokes with the Manning brothers, breh.

Ties to SportsThis isn’t entirely new stuff. George W. Bush has significant sports ties in his past. He was the managing general partner of the Texas Rangers baseball team from 1989 to 1998.
As a longtime Dallas resident and avid sports fan, he has remained a visible figure at Texas sporting events, frequently attending Dallas Cowboys games from the owner’s box and making occasional appearances on sports broadcasts.
Like the ManningCast.
And, of course, George W. Bush threw out the most famous ceremonial first pitch in history before Game 3 of the World Series shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Bush would don a bulletproof vest and deliver a ceremonial first pitch that ranks up there as an all-time iconic sports moment.
