Katia Reguero Lindor, the wife of New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor and host of the parenting podcast “The Unaparent Podcast,” has been named to the inaugural committee for Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.

Mamdani secured a decisive victory over challengers Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa in the 2025 New York City mayoral election. He is a bitter, angry socialist who likes to portray himself as a man of the people.

The committee, announced earlier this week by Mamdani’s transition team, consists of approximately 48 prominent New Yorkers from a wide range of fields, including actors, musicians, activists, organizers, and community leaders. Notable members include actress and deranged activist Cynthia Nixon, filmmaker John Turturro, actor Kal Penn, children’s antisemitic propagandist Ms. Rachel, novelist Colson Whitehead, and jazz legend Sonny Rollins.

The group is tasked with planning and hosting Mamdani’s inauguration events on January 1, 2026, which include a private midnight swearing-in ceremony officiated by New York Attorney General Letitia James, followed by a public ceremony at City Hall where U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will administer the oath.

Just a parade of Communists dancing on the grave of the city that never sleeps.

Did Francisco Lindor get Brandon Nimmo traded out of New York?

Now, here’s where things get interesting. The Mets organization has been losing stars from its clubhouse at a startling rate. Pete Alonso left in free agency for the Baltimore Orioles. Edwin Díaz also departed the team after declining his option.

One loss, however, recently made headlines. New York sports radio icon Mike Francesa said that outfielder Brandon Nimmo, who was recently traded to the Texas Rangers, was shipped out because of a disagreement about politics with another star on the team.

“The Nimmo-Lindor thing, my understanding was political,” Francesa said. “Had to do with Trump. One side liked Trump, one side didn’t like Trump. So Trump’s splitting up the Mets between Nimmo and Lindor. That’s my understanding. It started over Trump, as crazy as that sounds. Crazier things have happened.”

With Francisco Lindor’s wife joining the Mamdani team, it seems that who was on which side in that dispute has been put to rest. Imagine being such a bad organization that you’re willing to lose a beloved star, a man who has spent his entire MLB career with your team, because of Trump?

That’s the Mets for you.

Ended the Mets’ Season

Francisco Lindor’s wife, a 31-year-old classically trained violinist and self-described advocate for breastfeeding, home birth, and social justice, has previously expressed public support for Mamdani during his November election campaign.

She emphasized backing leaders who advocate for immigrants, artists, workers, and dignified lives, stating: “Supporting politicians who fight for immigrants, artists, workers, and everyone who deserves a dignified life – isn’t against my interests, even if I’m in a different economic position.

“P.S. Your enemies aren’t the immigrants—they’re the one-percenters hoarding the wealth while leaving you without basic needs.”

She means illegal immigrants, of course.

The Mets’ collapse in 2025 was one of the most insane implosions you’ll ever see in baseball. At one point, they were the best team in the league. When all was said and done, they didn’t even make the playoffs.

The game that ended the New York Mets’ season concluded with Francisco Lindor hitting into a 4-6-3 double play in the ninth inning, sealing a 4-0 defeat.

Lindor ended the Mets’ season, caused a beloved star to leave town, and his wife is set to usher in a man who will turn New York City into a Communist dustbin. Amazing. Everything he touches turns to garbage.
