Hulu Gives Bill Belichick Some More Bad News After Another Blowout Loss

Sad news for Bill Belichick and crew at the University of North Carolina. Even beyond their incredibly poor start to the season. Actually, perhaps because of that reason.
The UNC football program and Hulu have decided not to proceed with a planned season-long documentary series that was set to capture behind-the-scenes moments during Belichick’s inaugural year as head coach.
The news, via Inside Carolina, comes after yet another blowout loss to a power conference team in Clemson. The Tigers trounced the Tar Heels, 38-10, this past Saturday. And it hasn’t exactly been a fast start for Clemson either – they were 1-3 heading into the contest.
“North Carolina’s season-long documentary with Hulu is no longer happening,” the outlet writes.
Is Hulu dumping the docuseries after another brutal loss just a coincidence? We think not.

Originally announced by Belichick to the team in August, the Hulu project aimed to highlight the players’ hard work, their improvement throughout the season, and the program’s overall commitment to winning and team unity.
“I’m excited to share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will showcase our football program,” Belichick said in a video at the time. “This is about the UNC football program. There’s obviously a lot of interest in it, and it will stream on Hulu later this fall.”
“It’s gonna feature the players working hard, which you guys do. It’s about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do.”
The improvement isn’t there. Nor is the winning.
Interest appears to have waned. Although one could argue this is a huge mistake on Hulu’s part, since news of the grizzled coach and his 24-year-old girlfriend would be ratings gold.
It’s a Hard Knock lifeThis isn’t the first time Bill Belichick and his promoter girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, have received bad news on the docuseries front.
They tried to swoop in and steal a slot on HBO’s Hard Knocks: Offseason when no pro teams expressed interest. But that deal fell through rather quickly as well.
Could it have something to do with Hudson’s presence? That remains to be seen, but she does have a reputation for being a bit of a control freak.
Hudson and the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach initially generated interest in their relationship with absurd social media posts, including the 73-year-old college football coach on the beach helping her with the ol’ morning yoga routine.
But the novelty wore off when Jordon interrupted a CBS interview after a question about their relationship. That clip went uber-viral.

Hudson was also reportedly passed over for participation on Dancing with the Stars due to “control” issues.
UNC’s Tar Heels currently hold a 2-3 record after five games, having been outscored 120-33 by power conference opponents in those matchups.
Once the novelty of the silly relationship between Belichick and Hudson wears off, it remains important to win games. That’s what generates interest. And right now, Bill is not doing that.
