Two polls show the left hates America

Over time, the left has become increasingly disdainful of the greatest experiment in limited government the world has ever seen.

Two recent polls show a stark divide: the left and everyone else.

Even the bicentennial celebration of 50 years ago draws a distinction with the events of today.  That event took place in the aftermath of the turbulent '60s, the Vietnam War, the Watergate scandal, the energy crisis, and 'malaise.'  A divided country came together and commemorated its 200th anniversary with a yearlong celebration.

We celebrated the events that led up to the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the country, despite our political differences. Back then, there wasn't as much of a divide between the two sides; it was mainly Democrat versus Republican, not left versus right.

Contrast this with the primary political groups we have now: leftist fanatics, Democrat liberals, moderate Republicans, conservative Republicans, and libertarians. And the primary political divide between the collectivist, fanatical far-left on one side versus the individualism of all the primary political groups on the other. The former emphasizes groupthink, unlimited government, and control, while the latter emphasizes individuality, limited government, and liberty.

This is seen in the polling results that indicate one collectivist side considering the 4th of July to be a time of gathering with "family and friends" with a distinct lack of pride in the country. Contrasted with an individualist side that sees this as a time of celebration of liberty and limited government. A country with which they are proud, as symbolized by the flying of the flag.

This collectivist, cult mentality of the Left is even seen in how those that lean toward the left are coerced in going along with the fanatical Far-Left, their attitudes towards America' 250 celebration.

So why does the far left hate the country?

It should be evident that this is just a sampling of a much bigger problem that is plaguing the nation's socialist left, one that is several decades old.

Back in the late '60s and early '70s, the fanatical left still had dreams of a communist revolution that they could pull off and implement their vision of an ideal society of a ruling class (them) that would ruin everyone else's life, because of course, they knew better.

Never mind their justifications for taking control, the result of their running the country was the goal. Whether it was global cooling, global warming, climate change, wealth inequality, too much money in politics, or the mythical rule of an 'oligarchy.'  The reason didn't matter, only that it was a dire emergency that required them to take control.

Now that the left has marginalized itself out of the mainstream, it could explain why certain older cohorts are no longer proud of the country, because their chances at cosplaying as color revolutionaries are slipping away.

As for younger generations, this YouTube content creator detailed in a video the very real threat that foreign influence operations targeted at our youth to demoralize the country, and these polls show the result of these operations:

The solution to this demoralizing propaganda needs to be the truth, a factual counterattack against the collectivist onslaught. Demand that leftists prove their facile assertions with actual facts.  Challenge their lies with the truth; they've been so used to spewing falsehoods that it sets them back when you demand that they back up their lies.  If they assert something, they have to back it up. In most cases, they will try to deflect to something else; that's when you know you have them.
