Social Media Platform the UK Is Still Allowing Kids Under 16 to Use With New 'Ban' Is SO VERY Telling
Keir Starmer just rolled out his big plan to ban social media for kids under 16.
Right? I didn't think it was real either, but it is.
Crazy stuff.
Of course, he’s framing it as a heroic move to shield children from tech’s constant intrusion and to hand their childhoods back to them. Sounds noble on the surface, doesn’t it?
But let’s be real. This is something parents should be doing, not the government. Not to mention, Starmer is really bad at shielding children ... Britain has far bigger problems with actual child safety that his government keeps ignoring or making worse.

Remember when Starmer ran the Crown Prosecution Service? That was peak time for the grooming gang scandals. Thousands of British girls were systematically raped, trafficked, and destroyed by organized groups, mostly Pakistani Muslim men. Authorities dragged their feet for years because they were terrified of looking racist. Those girls didn’t lose their childhoods to TikTok algorithms. They lost them to predators whose crimes were downplayed or covered up on the watch of the man now lecturing us about phones.
Today the story continues with mass migration and the chaos it brings. Knife crime, street grooming, and unvetted men dumped into communities near schools. Yet Starmer’s answer is to restrict apps rather than secure borders or crack down on the real dangers.
We are banning social media access for under 16s.
These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life.
I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back. pic.twitter.com/jn7iQrcwk8

What he doesn't say is this ban isn't for ALL sites ... and children under 16 can still access Leftist utopia and all-around perv-ville, BlueSky.
What the Hell, right?!
Also, allow me to put on my tinfoil hat, but this just does not sit well with me on any level. This 'safety' push also reeks of something else. Age verification to enforce a ban doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It opens the door to digital ID systems and government tracking of what everyone does online.
Social credit score, anyone?
