Put a Shirt On, Animals: Sec. Duffy Wants Americans to Stop Boarding Flights Like They Crawled Out of Bed
Our Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, has a request of Americans this travel season. Be nice, help each other and dress up for your flight.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:
"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up" pic.twitter.com/Y2gCyKKOR1

Now, this made some people mad. They like comfy clothes flying. I agree with Secretary Duffy. When people dress up, they behave better. It's the whole reason school uniforms work. Kids mostly behave better when they wearing spiffy clothes.
🎅 I'm feeling generous this season. I'll be at the airport handing out BK crowns 👑 and ❣️red bandanas. https://t.co/TXT9EOwAbx pic.twitter.com/EBwBPprY5Y

People won't be able to see you with all that camo. Good plan to get through TSA, I suppose.

I'm more of a Elphaba girlie, but I can dig it.
He’s right. https://t.co/QSLQhDLzaU

People prefer to just be slovenly these days.

Swoon.
Everybody needs to dress like Adam Sandler on their next flight …. Or Joey from friends 😊🤪 https://t.co/atuJcKa4dt pic.twitter.com/p1wFpMRzxY

It's how you can keep your suitcase weight under fifty pounds.
People stopped dressing civilly for air travel, when air travel became less civil. I'm not putting on my best dress for some fat union goon to grope me, force me to walk around in my socks, & then have them stuff me into 3sq ft of space for 8 hrs. https://t.co/XFyIPTkxDx

They also need to stop squishing people in such tight seats, honestly.
A lot of people are crapping on this but I’d like to remind them that any decent bar or club institutes a dress code when they want to discourage Sprit Airlines incidents inside https://t.co/rLj4NmJ7Lm

It would make the whole experience better for everyone if people took a shower, washed their clothes and wore business casual to fly. It doesn't hurt to have some basic standards of decorum.
Amen!! I have been saying this for years. It’s time to get back some decorum with travel and the first step is to dress the part! ✈️✈️✈️ Thank you @SecDuffy https://t.co/ifhituIY2y

Plus, people don't want to damage their fancy duds by getting in a knock down drag out with some loser on a plane. Win-win.
