Democrats Have Created a Violent Monster They Can No Longer Control

In Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein,' the titular character abandons his monstrous creation, leading to horrible consequences for the doctor and innocent bystanders. Dr. Frankenstein created something he didn't understand and couldn't control.

Here's more from Axios:

Zoom in: Many lawmakers said these voters tend to be white, well-educated and live in upscale suburban or urban neighborhoods.

  • 'What I have seen is a demand that we get ourselves arrested intentionally or allow ourselves to be victims of violence, and ... a lot of times that's coming from economically very secure white people,' said an eighth House Democrat.
  • 'Not only would that be a gift to Donald Trump, not only would it make the job of Republicans in Congress easier if we were all mired in legal troubles ... [we are] a group that is disproportionately people of color, women, LGBTQ people — people who do not fare very well in prison.'
  • The bottom line: 'The expectations aren't just unreal. They're dangerous,' the eighth House Democrat said.

Much like Dr. Frankenstein, the Democratic Party created a monster that is now turning on them -- especially among affluent white voters.

    I am not surprised.

Like all civilized people, I condemn the use of political violence to advance agendas. Then again, I am not a Leftist.

But I do have to ask: what did the Democratic Party expect?

For years, they have demonized Republicans -- and not just President Trump. I'm old enough to remember the lies and rhetoric of the George W. Bush years, when a friend told me prior to the 2000 election that Bush would make it illegal for me to go to college.

Looking at my student loans, I wish he had.

And then the Leftists I went to college with were telling me he was going to draft me for his Iraq War. That didn't happen, either.

But George W. Bush was LITERALLY HITLER.

Until Donald Trump came along, then he was LITERALLY HITLER. On steroids. They have said, repeatedly, that President Trump is an existential threat to democracy and our fundamental freedoms. In August of last year, a former GOP comms director said women's lives were at risk if President Trump won reelection.

This is not normal political rhetoric. It is, and was, intentionally inflammatory. Several Democrats called for violent activism, including Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who said Republicans can never know a moment of peace. They use the numerical phrase '8647' -- a thinly veiled threat, if you remember what it means to '86' something. They torched Teslas to 'save the country.' AOC said killing health insurance CEOs is acceptable because denying claims is an 'act of violence.'

There's also a lot of video footage of Democrats calling for violence.

Those rotten seeds were bound to bear rotten fruit. And they have. Now of 55% of Leftists say assassinating President Trump is justified.

The Left's rhetoric could produce no other outcome. When you tell your voting base that the Republican Party is an existential threat that will throw them in concentration camps, you're demanding and expecting a violent response. Because the only way to address a tyrannical government is with violence.

Except it's all lies, of course. President Trump is not a dictator. He will not throw anyone in camps. The Left, however, doesn't deal in reality.

It's also why they get on social media and celebrate the deaths of Texans due to catastrophic flooding, including children. Those children are 'racist' and their parents 'voted for this.'

They are Bolsheviks, and for them, the terror and violence are necessary to advance their agenda, and the violence is the point of everything they do. And, just as with rules and laws, the Left never imagined their violent rhetoric would be turned on them.

They're the good guys, after all.

Sadly, that violence did turn on them, and two Democratic Minnesota legislators were shot in their homes. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, died from their injuries. Thankfully, John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, survived.

But I fear it won't stop there, not unless the Democratic Party becomes vocal in condemning it -- regardless of who the perpetrators are and who the target is -- and gets serious about enforcing the laws concerning violent behavior and crime.

I don't see them doing that any time soon, and now they'll have to live with the monster they've created.
