President Trump just dropped a huge announcement on the Strait of Hormuz, namely that we will be taking the strait and reinstating the Iranian blockade.

Trump says the US will be reimbursed at the rate of 20% of all cargo shipped through the strait:

The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran. We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait.

The U.S.A. will be, from this point forward, known as “THE GUARDIAN OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” but as such, and as a matter of FAIRNESS, will be reimbursed, at the rate of 20% on all cargo shipped, for any and all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the World.

The process and formation will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

This is what I expected would happened from the beginning, although I really thought it would be all of NATO in the Strait to protect it. But since only the US is doing it, I get why Trump is going to impose such a fee. NATO completely let him down with all of this, and he doesn’t expect American taxpayers to foot the bill. I have no idea what this is going to look like and how he’s going to collect such fees, but I understand why he’s doing it. Actually, because of such fees, it could be that ships stop using the Persian Gulf and start coming to American for all of their oil and gas needs. That would be a huge victory if that happened.

Now, the only thing left is to destroy the terrorist regime.
