Sharp-eyed Stranger Things viewers were quick to spot a mistake in a recent episode of the hit Netflix show, when an Under Armour logo was seen on a shirt, despite the brand being founded years after the show takes place.
Character Holly Wheeler, the younger sister of main character Mike Wheeler, was spotted wearing an Under Armour ColdGear shirt under her green sweater in a season five, episode seven scene in which she was seen crawling out of a pod that series antagonist Vecna had used to entrap children.
The logo was seen after her sweater had lifted up past her elbow. While the season takes place in 1987, the athletic brand would not be founded for nearly another decade. Per E Online, the mistake was quietly fixed as social media users noted it.
The final episode of the show is set to be released on New Year’s Eve. This comes as the final season has been accused of depicting a "pedophilic" scene involving one of the main characters, with Vecna forcing tentacle-like appendage that is forced into Will Byers’ mouth, delivering alien slug-like organisms into his body.
Another scene centered around Byers, also from episode seven, has resulted in the episode receiving the lowest rating across the entire series. According to IMDb, the episode has received a 5.4 rating as of Tuesday night. The episode features Byers coming out as gay as the world is in danger of being destroyed.
