Pritzker’s Projection Is Destroying His Prospective Presidential Race – The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

Talk about projection.

Who knew that Illinois Democrat Governor JB Pritzker, a scion of one of the country’s wealthiest families, would turn out to have such incredible contempt for the citizens of his own Chicago?

As of this moment, the city of Chicago is a violent mess. And leading the charge into that mess is none other than Pritzker. (RELATED: The Eisenhower Precedent: Is Trump Justified in Deploying the National Guard to Chicago?)

Make no mistake. It is Pritzker who has turned out to be the very essence of what the legendary psychologist Sigmund Freud called “projection.” The dictionary defines projection thusly: “The attribution of one’s own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects.”

A more perfect description of Pritzker’s conduct in the middle of leading Illinois’ largest city into disaster would be hard to find. He tries and fails almost hourly to project his own disasters onto President Trump — and fails big time.

As a direct result of Pritzker’s policies and conduct, here is a sampling of headlines out of America’s famed “Windy City.”

ABC 7 Chicago Eyewitness News:Chicago shootings: At least 19 shot, 2 fatally, in weekend gun violence across city, police say.”

ABC News: 58 shot over Labor Day weekend in Chicago as governor rejects Trump threat to send National Guard.

The Mercury: WATCH: Pritzker won’t call Trump for help with public safety amid ICE operation.

The New York Post: Trump’s right: Pritzker should BEG for his help to fight crime.

And on — and on and on — go similar headlines both from Chicago and across the nation. With the governor of Illinois quite deliberately and coldly letting the city of Chicago be swamped in literal and, as well, financial flames. With a murder rate steadily rising.

Help that is obviously needed from the federal government? Yet Pritzker refuses that help so that he can, so he obviously thinks, bully President Trump and humiliate him.

It not only hasn’t worked out that way, but it has done the reverse. Leaving President Trump looking as the very picture of common sense and responsibility from a president who very much wants to help Chicago residents who need — desperately need — help from the federal government as they struggle with a disaster thrust on them by far-left terrorists who are doing everything they can to damage and destroy one of America’s legendary cities.

It would be important here to understand that this behavior by Chicago leftists is nothing new. This is, based on a long historical record, exactly how the American Left behaves.

In the 20th and 21st centuries alone, there have been, per Wikipedia, over 30 — say again over 30! — riots from Leftist groups raging over everything from labor unions to race to the results of organized crime, housing, and ethnic unrest.

This time around, it is Pritzker, the heir to the Pritzker family fortune, from, among other ventures, includes Hyatt Hotels, who is at the very center of massive unrest and violence crippling Chicago.

The question now is obvious. What do the citizens of Chicago and the larger state of Illinois do about restoring law and order to their city and state?

Thanks to Pritzker’s incompetence and political furies, the answer Chicago residents are being given is to refuse help from the president, who very much wants to help them.

Somewhere at the top of the list, it would seem, would be un-electing Pritzker at his next election, ending his prospective political career for good. That would be no small thing when the political winds headline stories like this: “Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker poised to run for president in 2028, critics say.”

Suffice to say, every day — every hour — Chicago is going up in flames, violence and sheer disaster is yet another example of the kind of disaster Pritzker would be both for the nation and, for sure, his Democrat political party were he nominated.

And every time Pritzker tries to point a finger at Trump, and failing miserably at projecting his own conduct on Trump, it backfires, big time. With Pritzker’s own citizens paying the price. A big price.

Safe to say, no governor of a state can afford to lead their state into an unmitigated disaster that does serious damage, physical and financial, to the largest city in their state and the larger state itself. Which is exactly what Pritzker and his cronies are doing.

In other words?

What Americans are seeing on their television screens almost hourly is not only the considerable damage to Chicago being done by Illinois Governor Pritzker, but the fatal damage — politically suicidal damage — being done to Pritzker’s own presidential fantasies. Damage done by his own conduct.

Amazing.
