The Soros Machine Implodes as America Rejects His Agenda

According to the numbers, America gave George Soros the destruction of his legacy for his birthday last Tuesday.
For decades, Soros was known for two things. Making piles of money and pouring those piles into radical left-wing politics. Then he passed the empire down to his son, Alex. Bad idea. Because Alex can’t seem to do either of the two things his father pulled off for decades.
George was once hailed as “the man who broke the Bank of England.” He made a billion dollars in a single day. All by spotting arbitrage opportunities in the currency markets. That was the legend.
Alex turned into the guy who broke Soros’s bankroll. Back in 2021, he threw down $2 billion on Rivian, an electric car startup. Nearly 20 million shares, each going for $70 to $100. It was one of the fund’s riskiest, high-stakes bets ever.
A year later, Rivian was selling at $18. Soros Fund Management bailed out, swallowing a loss north of $1 billion. Today, HedgeFollow slaps Soros Fund Management with a miserable 1 out of 5 stars—ranking it among the worst hedge funds in America.
So maybe Alex can’t make money. Could he at least inherit his dad’s political instincts? No. Not even close.
VISIT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNELHis big move has been posting selfies with Democrats and global elites. He once posted on X a photo of $47 in bills and a bullet hole through a piece of glass. Most people took it as a direct threat to Donald Trump, who was going to be the 47th president and would be assassinated by a man who shot him while on top of a company called American Glass Research. That man turned out to be Thomas Matthew Crooks at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally, where he shot Trump in the ear.
Meanwhile, the Soros network has withered. In July 2023, Open Society Foundations announced layoffs of 40 percent of its global staff. They froze new grants until February 2024. They gutted their entire model. What was once an international web of influence got cut down to nothing.
Alex’s biggest achievement was the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. Staffers like Tom Perriello pushed it so hard that the Open Society Policy Center reopened lobbying. They even became one of the top spenders in the nation. Perriello was literally on the House floor when the bill passed.
The bill shelled out billions for EV chargers that never materialized. Billions more for EV tax credits. Even $3 billion for the Postal Service to buy electric trucks. Rivian was supposed to cash in. It didn’t. The subsidies weren’t enough to save Soros’ disaster play.
At the same time, Alex funneled $4 million into Stacey Abrams’ failed campaign in Georgia. Why? Rivian was setting up a “giga-factory” outside Atlanta and begging for state subsidies. In the final days of the Biden administration, Rivian scored a $6.5 billion loan from the Department of Energy for the project. Yet construction hasn’t even started. Rivian stock now trades below $12.
George’s real mark on politics wasn’t electric cars. It was prosecutors.
For decades, he wanted to dismantle the War on Drugs. He funded think tanks. He funded ballot initiatives. Then he had a lightbulb moment. Why not buy district attorneys?
It worked. A lot of them won. And soon, “Soros DA” was synonymous with violent crime.
Add in the police defunding craze of 2020, and cities were gutted. Crime surged. Soros-funded researchers tried to spin it away. They blamed the pandemic. Guns. The economy. Voters didn’t buy it.
Now? More than a dozen Soros DAs have been removed from office. Recalled. Exposed in scandals. Or too toxic to run again. Urban crime became one of the reasons Democrats collapsed in 2024.
And it wasn’t just about crime. It was about immigration. “Open Society” always meant open borders. Soros wanted sanctuary cities. He wanted prosecutors to shield illegal immigrants. That project is gone too.
Then came Trump. Again. Elected a second time. And the issues that sunk Soros—crime, immigration, the Inflation Reduction Act—were the ones voters cared about most.
So here’s where we are. On his 95th birthday, the empire of George Soros is in ruins. The legacy is ashes.
